Privacy

Last updated August 10, 2026

This notice explains what information is collected, why it is used, and which services help run the site.

Information you provide

  • Email signup: your email address when you request The Seven Nights or join the email list.
  • Purchase: order and contact details made available after purchase for fulfillment, support, accounting, fraud prevention, and refunds.
  • Messages: the information you include when you email us.

The Nightstand does not receive or store your full payment-card number. A payment processor handles payment details.

Information collected from site use

Plausible is the planned analytics service. It provides lightweight, aggregate information such as page visits, referral sources, device category, country-level location, campaign tags, and checkout handoffs. We use that information to understand which pages and episode links are useful. We do not send email addresses to Plausible.

How information is used

  • Deliver requested digital files and email notes.
  • Process purchases, receipts, refunds, and support requests.
  • Protect the site and checkout from misuse or fraud.
  • Understand site performance and improve the material.
  • Meet tax, accounting, and legal duties.

Service providers

  • systeme.io stores email-list records and sends download and follow-up emails.
  • Plausible provides aggregate site analytics.
  • A payment platform processes payments securely and handles receipts and digital delivery.
  • PurelyMail is the planned mailbox provider for hello@thenightstand.site.
  • GitHub and Cloudflare are the planned source-hosting and site-delivery providers.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We share only what is reasonably needed for the service they provide.

Sale of personal information

The Nightstand does not sell your personal information. We do not rent the email list or share it for another company's independent marketing.

Email choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Transactional messages about a purchase, delivery, support request, correction, or refund may still be sent when needed.

Cookies and local storage

The site may use essential browser storage to preserve campaign tags during a visit. Payment processing may use cookies or similar technology for security, fraud prevention, payment, and session operation. The planned Plausible setup is for aggregate analytics rather than advertising profiles.

Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, customer support, accounting, tax, security, dispute handling, or another lawful purpose. Email-list records remain until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, subject to records we must retain.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information. You may also object to or limit certain processing. Email the address below with enough detail for us to understand and verify the request.

International processing

The Nightstand serves readers in more than one country. Information may be processed in the United States and in locations where our service providers operate.

Children

The site and products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.

We may update this notice when services or practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
